Once your child\u2019s mouth is numb, their dentist will begin treating their tooth. This may involve a filling, extraction, or even a root canal or pulp therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medication Prescription<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Based on your child\u2019s medical history and the reason they are experiencing a dental emergency, their dentist may prescribe a pain reliever or antibiotic to fight infection. Be sure to follow the dentist\u2019s instructions, including taking all antibiotics, even if your child says they feel better before it runs out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aftercare & Follow- Up Appointment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, your child\u2019s dentist will provide you with aftercare instructions, so they have a smooth recovery. They may also schedule a follow-up appointment to check on your child\u2019s teeth in a few days or weeks and ensure their treatment was a success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
